All wooden parts over 160 cm in length are made from glued spruce, not solid wood. This prevents warping and twisting, which are common in long lengths of natural wood.
The 4+6+4 ESG double glazing unit is fixed with silicone to form a tight, weather-resistant, durable connection. Tempered ESG (enhanced safety glass) is safer in the event of a tear.
The perimeter surrounds are precision-crafted from spruce and fitted with rubber sealing elements, forming a tight, moisture-resistant connection between the window frame and the wall structure. This reduces air permeability and the risk of condensation at the joint.
As a fixed window, SFW-5 has no moving parts and no complex hardware, so it requires less maintenance. This solution is suitable for locations where daylight and appearance are key, but ventilation is provided in a different way.
