Thermally Efficient Wooden Window for Wooden Garden Houses

GW-4 is a premium wooden window designed for professional-grade garden houses. Made of 68 mm thick glued pine profile, it offers excellent dimensional stability and long-lasting durability in outdoor environments.

Thermal Performance

GW-4 is equipped with 4+16+4mm double glazing (Low-E tempered glass + argon) and achieves U=1.1. This thermal performance makes it suitable for both well-insulated seasonal buildings and buildings for year-round use. The GTR 22.44 K thermal rain shield provides additional protection from slanting rain and wind-driven moisture.

Quality Hardware and Sealing

The tilt-and-turn mechanism is supplied by MACO, a trusted European hardware manufacturer. The window can be tilted for ventilation or opened fully inwards for easy cleaning or emergency exit.
Rubber seals on all sides help prevent wind and water ingress, while the spruce casing with rubber seals and a black metal sill protects the timber frame from moisture and long-term wear.

GW-4 is delivered ready for installation and is compatible with a wide range of DSHouse garden houses.

Durable Pine Frame

The 68mm profile is made from glued pine. This ensures high dimensional stability and less risk of timber warping or cracking over time. The layered construction reduces timber movement due to seasonal changes in humidity, so the sealing remains reliable in the long term.

High-Efficiency Double Glazing

4+16+4 mm LowE ESG+Argon glass units have a U-value of 1.1, which significantly reduces heat loss through the window. The low-emissivity glass combined with argon gas filling makes this package suitable for both seasonal garden buildings and insulated structures.

MACO Hardware

MACO's tilt and turn mechanism allows the window to tilt inwards at the top for ventilation or open fully to the side for easier cleaning and maximum airflow. Both functions are controlled by a single handle.

Suitable for Different Climates

A black metal sill protects the bottom finish from rain splashes and ground moisture, while rubber sealing around the perimeter reduces air permeability. The spruce wood is rubber sealed from the factory, so no additional sealing is required on site.

GW-4 is equipped with a GTR 22.44 K thermal rain guard, rubber seals to protect against wind and rain, a black metal sill to protect the wood finish from moisture, and spruce wood enclosures with rubber seals. Together, these solutions help the window last.

Pine windows should be inspected annually and treated as necessary with a suitable exterior wood stain or paint to protect against UV radiation and moisture. Rubber gaskets should be checked periodically and replaced if they show signs of cracking or compression.
