GW-2 is a premium quality wooden window designed for wooden garden houses and outdoor structures where thermal performance and long-term durability are important. Made from glued pine timber with a 68 mm profile, it ensures structural durability and stability.
Quality Hardware and Tight Sealing
GW-2 is equipped with a MACO tilt and turn mechanism and opens inwards. A rain guard helps protect the frame from moisture. Rubber sealing around the perimeter keeps wind and water out.
High Performance Glazing
Two 4mm tempered glass panes are separated by a 16mm chamber (4+16+4) filled with argon gas, which insulates heat better than air. One pane has an ultra-thin Low-E coating to reflect heat and reduce heat loss. A silicone sealant keeps the glass unit tightly sealed to keep air and moisture out throughout its lifetime. Overall thermal transmittance: U=1.1.
Protective Details
A black metal sill protects the lower wooden casing from rain splashes and ground moisture, a detail that significantly extends the window’s lifespan. GW-2 is compatible with the DSHouse range of garden houses and is available as part of a complete building kit or as a stand-alone product.
